There is no panto in Borehamwood itself. Jack and the Beanstalk runs 11 to 31 December at the Wyllyotts, Snow White 5 to 31 December at the Radlett Centre.
Borehamwood has no pantomime of its own. The two nearest are both inside Hertsmere, one in Potters Bar and one in Radlett, and both are already on sale with 2026 dates and prices published in full.
InspireAll runs 96 Shenley Road in Borehamwood and the Wyllyotts Theatre in Potters Bar, and it puts its pantomime at the Wyllyotts. The Ark Theatre inside Hertswood Academy is Borehamwood’s other stage, but its website was not resolving on any address we tried when we checked on 5 September.
Wyllyotts Theatre, Potters Bar: Jack and the Beanstalk
Friday 11 December to Thursday 31 December 2026, at Wyllyotts Place, Darkes Lane, Potters Bar EN6 2HZ. The theatre is flagging it as selling fast.
The run is not continuous. Published performance days are 11 to 13 December, 15 to 17 December, 19 to 24 December and 26 to 31 December, with no performances on 14, 18 or 25 December. The theatre says shows are “generally 1pm and 5pm daily”, but the opening weekend does not follow that: Friday 11 December is 5:30pm only, Saturday 12 December is 2:30pm and 6:30pm, and Sunday 13 December is 11am and 3pm.
Prices, from the theatre’s own listing:
- Gold performances: adult £25.50, child £22.50, family £92 for two adults and two children.
- All other performances: adult £22.50, child £20, family £81.
- Child tickets are for under-16s. Family tickets apply automatically in the basket if you qualify.
- Babes in arms (under 12 months) £5, bookable only by phone on 01707 645005, and you must show the ticket on the day.
Running time is 2 hours 30 minutes including the interval. The theatre warns the show includes bangs, flashes and water-based haze.
One thing worth knowing before you plan around the cheap seats: the six performances on 15, 16 and 17 December, at 10am and 1:30pm each day, are priced at £12 and every one of them is already showing as sold out.
Following it, the Wyllyotts has The Snow Queen from Thursday 14 to Saturday 16 January 2027.
Parking. There is a council pay and display car park underneath the theatre. Charges run Monday to Saturday, 8am to 6.30pm: £1.20 for an hour, £2.35 up to two, £3.55 up to three, £4.80 up to four, £5.80 up to five and £7.50 beyond that. Sundays and bank holidays are free, and so are blue badge holders. It is card payment only and you need your registration. Three accessible spaces sit in the adjoining car parks and cannot be reserved.
The theatre has step-free access throughout by lift, wheelchair spaces in front of the stage and two in the balcony, an infra-red system for hearing-impaired visitors with a £10 refundable deposit on the receiver, and welcomes assistance dogs if you tell the box office when booking.
The Radlett Centre: Snow White
Saturday 5 December to Thursday 31 December 2026, at 1 Aldenham Avenue, Radlett WD7 8HL. The production is by Upstage Productions, which stages the Radlett panto every year.
The centre prices by show band rather than by day:
- Gold shows: £26 standard, £24 for ages 1 to 16, family £96.
- A shows: £24 standard, £22 for ages 1 to 16, family £88.
- B shows: £23 standard, £21 for ages 1 to 16, family £84.
- Buy 10 for 9 on the same performance.
- Babes in arms (12 months and under) £3, in person or by phone only.
Running time is about 2 hours 15 minutes including the interval. Which performances fall into which band is set on the booking page, not published as a list, so check the band before you compare it with the Wyllyotts.
Box office is 01923 859 291, open Monday to Friday 10am to 2pm, Saturday 10am to 4pm, and from 45 minutes before a performance.
Parking. Newberries Car Park is the usual answer in Radlett and it is free on Sundays, but it has been down for resurfacing since early September with no published end date. The borough tariff is on our parking page, and the current closures are on the roadworks and travel page.
Which one
The Wyllyotts is the cheaper ticket at every comparable point. Family seats run £81 or £92 there against £84, £88 or £96 at Radlett. A single adult is £22.50 or £25.50 against £23, £24 or £26. A child seat is £20 or £22.50 against £21, £22 or £24. Radlett wins only on the very smallest ticket, £3 for a babe in arms against £5.
Radlett’s show is 15 minutes shorter, which matters with small children, and it opens six days earlier. Potters Bar runs one extra day at the end, splits its run across four blocks with three dark days, and carries the only pyrotechnic warning of the two.
Radlett’s cast has one extra job: in 2025 the Radlett Centre panto company switched on the town’s Christmas lights at the parish Winter Fair and circulated for photographs afterwards.
